Bring lessons to life: Children can learn in a classroom setting, but they can also learn in many other environments. This includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, whether on school grounds, in the local area, or farther away on day visits and residential trips. We look at what happens when staff take lessons beyond the four walls and how parents and PTAs can provide support.
Summer fairs: From a video game-themed fair to a festival-style event and a DIY guide to building games that anyone can follow, we aim to make your fair the best ever!
Third-party challenges: If anyone in your school community is planning an outdoor fundraising challenge, such as a run, trek or skydive, they may want to join one of the many third-party events on offer. These require minimal organisation on the part of the PTA and could be a quick win!
Local authority grants: Getting to know your local councillor can be an ideal way to find grants available to your school or PTA.
How to make your PTA life easier: After years as a successful deputy, Carolyn Sparks stepped up to be PTA chair. Here’s what she’s learnt.
